Weird things you run across on the internet

The BBC Style Guide. A friend linked me to it after spending some time reading it. It includes such wonderful sections as "How not to be seen.""The Basics"
Reporters are cautioned against gems such as "There’s an overturned tractor trailer heading north on the M11.".
ETA: Under "Troublesome words" there is the priceless
Evacuate. The rule used to be that only places or
buildings were evacuated, not people (unless they had
been given an enema).This is at odds with common
usage so let the people be evacuated.

ETA2: Bought permanent account. That leaves me ~222 days to transfer to someone, who wants em?
