Long long ago, I'm told when I was young I'd always say "I'll have the lobster" at restaurants.

What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make?
Me Mum used to make a fantastic curry that I haven't had in about a decade. I've tried to make it myself, but I don't have enough practice.

What's the native specialty of your home town?
Errr... Nothing? Pickled Pigs Feet?

What's your comfort food?
Whatever is closest.

What's your favorite type of chocolate?
Dark. Good Dark. I used to dislike dark, but that changed at some point.

Medium rare

Yes.

No.

How do you take your tea?
With enough sugar and milk that it's slightly tea flavored milk.

I don't tend to use mugs.

Good french toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, milk and whatever else is available.

I'm not really partial to sandwiches, but probably a Meatball sub.

What's your ideal pizza (topping and base)?
Ham and Pineapple usually.

What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)?
A good apple pie, or possibly key lime...

What's your ideal salad?
Throw some veggies in a bowl and put some dressing on it please.

What food do you always like to have in the fridge?
Do Milk & Orange Juice count?

What food do you always like to have in the freezer?
I don't keep much frozen food.

What food do you always like to have in the cupboard?
Mac and cheese.

What spices can you not live without?
Curry powder and ???. Anyone know a good source for hot curry powder?

What sauces can you not live without?
I rather like ketchup, but I could live without it.

Where do you buy most of your food?
Giant probably.

How often do you go food shopping?
Once or twice a week.

What's the most you've spent on a single food item?
At a grocery store? 20$+ on steaks probably.

What's the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own (excluding 'white goods')?
Kitchen Aid mixer.

A pan of some kind.

What piece of kitchen equipment could you not live without?
Stove.

How many times a week/month do you cook from raw ingredients?
It depends on how you count "raw"... I cook mac & cheese a few times a week, once in a while I'll make Curry or Lasagna.

What's the last thing you cooked from raw ingredients?
Probably Lasagna.

What meats have you eaten besides cow, pig and poultry?
Veal, Goat, Ostrich, others?

What's the last time you ate something that had fallen on the floor?
A few days ago.

Long ago, I used to go out and pick raspberries once in a while. I also used to grow Alpine Strawberries... hrm. wonder if they're still alive...

I tend to avoid fast food. I'll occasionally accept Wendys and order a burger of some type.

Washington DC
It's hard to pick the top three, but they're probably Mikes, some Thai place that I don't remember the name of in DC proper and Bombay Bistro.

What's your choice of tipple at the end of a long day?
Something close and filling?
